HTTP Status Checker

Ask a URL what it answers with -- its status code, redirects and server

What an HTTP status is

Every answer a web server gives starts with a three-digit code: 200 for a good page, 301 for a permanent move, 404 for a page that is not there, 500 for a server that fell over. This tool asks for a page and reports the code and the headers that came with it.
